Welcome to 2012! Let’s hope this year is better than those preceding it!

Now that the holidays are passed it is time to clean the house and get rid of the glitter and pine needles. Sometimes delicate decorations get in the way of a good cleaning. With those put away we can roll up our sleeves and bring the house back to its previous shiny clean.

TIP: Wood dries out in the winter just like our skin. Give the furniture and the kitchen cabinets a good cleaning and protection by using Luster-Tech. The wood will look like new!

INSIGHT: Car-Tech and Home-Tech can be used in any weather. They will always clean, polish and seal. Don’t be afraid to use the products in cold weather. These products are very unique and forgiving.

TIP: When the snow flies remember that Luster-Tech will take salt stains off of boots and shoes. Luster-Tech will remove the stain and seal the surface. The stain won’ return like it does when vinegar is used for removing the stain.

INSIGHT: I have several storage containers on which I used permanent marker to mark the contents. That is fine if the contents never change. Unfortunately the contents do change. What can you do to remove/obliterate the markings from before the content change? Use Home-Tech on the permanent marker and you will be able to label the container with the correct content.

TIP: For permanent marker or tough stains on your granite countertops use Home-Tech to clean, polish and seal. For minimal cost you will have a granite cleaner/sealer that is the best and is also able to be used in other applications.

TIP: Do you have tarnished metal outdoor handles? Use Super Shine Metal Polish to clean them gently and thoroughly. With little effort you can bring them to their original luster. After using the metal polish coat the handles with Car-Tech or Home-Tech depending on whether the handle is inside or out. INSIGHT:  Microfiber Cloths can be used for many tasks. Many people use them for dusting furniture and decorations. Dampen them very slightly for a more effective dust pick up.

TIP: Use Luster-Tech for cleaning many delicate decorations. I have some hand carved duck decoys. I used the Luster-Tech on a cotton ball and on a Q-tip to take the dirt and dust off of them. The Luster-Tech left a nice glow and repelled dust for a long time.

INSIGHT: Car-Tech is perfect for protecting outdoor porch lights. Use Car-Tech to protect the thin plating and also keep the glass panels clean. The effects last one year!

TIP: For outdoor lights that stay clean and pristine apply Car-Tech to them! I just had new ones installed and did that since the last lights shed their plating over several winters. Car-Tech has 97% UV protection and lasts a year!

TIP: I just got two new windows installed. The room in which they reside has a vaulted ceiling. From the outside they are very high to reach. I wanted to remove some debris and hand prints of the installation worker from the outside of those windows. I don’t have a tall enough ladder so I used a long handled pole with two attachments. I made a bucket of Wash-Tech water and dipped the microfiber attachment in it. I applied the microfiber with Wash-Tech to the window. Always rinse with a stream of water and I did that. I then used the squeegee attachment. The windows look great!

INSIGHT: I also had new outside lights mounted on the front of the house. The last lights got pitted and the plating peeled off. Since I now have Car-Tech I applied Car-Tech to the lights and they will last a long time and look beautiful!

TIP: Car-Tech can be useful for commercial purposes. Remember that Car-Tech has 97% UV protection in it. Retail establishments that display their wares in large display windows would benefit from using Car-Tech on those windows. The wares or clothing displayed will not fade from the sun!

INSIGHT: Also remember that Luster-Tech has some UV protection in it too. Those kitchen cabinets won’t look faded from the sun. Leather furniture will maintain its beautiful color and patina with regular use of Luster-Tech.

INSIGHT: I have had a few inquiries from Home-Tech users saying that occasionally the application of Home-Tech looks a bit smeary afterwards. Please understand that a little of the product goes a long way. If it is smeary after application too much was used. To correct this situation wipe the surface with a damp rag and then with a dry one. The surface will then be perfect. I have used too much on occasion too so don’t feel badly. It is easy to do. In this case more is not better.

TIP: On June 21st Channel 2 News had a story about more melanoma cases appearing on people’s left sides especially their arms. As one drives the left side gets exposed to the sun’s rays. Even with the window rolled up the sun can harm your skin through the window glass. Use CAR-TECH to provide 97% UV protection.

INSIGHT: I have also heard from a few people that as they apply either Home-Tech or Car-Tech to windows that as they move the damp cloth with the product on it areas of the surface do not appear to have product on them. This occurs when the cloth used is too wet. Only barely dampen the application cloth and you will not see this problem.

TIP: My neighbor and IT Guru, just used Car-Tech on his PVC pipes outside his house. Applying Car-Tech to the pipes will keep them white and clean and repel UV rays. Anything that gets on the pipe will wash away with the rain because debris will not stick to a surface that has an application of Car-Tech on it. Try that on many outdoor surfaces today!

TIP: I watch my four year old grandson twice a week and put him on a bus at noon to go to nursery school. In the morning he practices his letters and numbers. He acquired an inexpensive dry erase board that has his name at the top and then lines below where he can copy the name to practice. The board had been used so much that the dry erase properties had gone by the wayside. Try as he might he could not wipe the old marker bits off enough to use the board. He asked me to help clean the board. I proceeded to take a bottle of HOME-TECH out and applied it with a damp cloth. After 30 seconds I wiped the board and it came totally clean. He was amazed and asked what it was I had used. He is now a junior spokesperson for Best Home Cleaning Products, especially for the Home-Tech product.

INSIGHT: Although Home-Tech is not promoted as a finished wood cleaner, desperate situations call for desperate measures. When at a show I do demonstrate cleaning permanent marker off of a piece of finished wood. TIP: I have an amazing young friend who happens to be wheelchair bound. We like to refer to it as his chariot. He is out and about in the wheelchair every day. TIP: I used Luster-Tech the other day to clean some cream colored leather gloves. I almost threw them out since they were slightly worn and rather dirty. After cleaning with Luster-Tech I kept them!

INSIGHT:  To make your Luster-Tech go farther spray it on a paper towel and then apply to the surface that you want to clean and polish. Once you are done touching up all surfaces wipe your leather shoes and other small surfaces to get the most from your use of the product.

TIP:  I have grandchildren of a young age. They love mac and cheese and the youngest eats with his hands. Inevitably the wooden table and chairs take on remnants from former dinners. To remove this food debris that has hardened into a concrete-like substances on your table and chairs spray a paper towel with Luster-Tech. The debris will just pop right off without hard scrubbing and the surface is left with a nice shine and a seal.

When she finished with the Home-Tech all looked good and she proceeded to insert all the nativity pieces. She closed the curio cabinet door and turned on the light inside. She had to call me and tell me how it looked. She said it had never sparkled like that. Her husband came home and she told him she cleaned the curio. We got busy and I didn’t pay attention to Barbara in her booth until she walked up to me and asked me how to get wax out of her cute top. There was a dark gray wax stain on the very front. It looked like it had oozed into the material. We talked about ice but neither of us thought it would all come out with the ice considering it looked imbedded.
I mentioned that candle wax had overflowed from the base onto a sofa table at home. I had thought the table was ruined. I picked the dried wax off but a dull spot was still on the table. I got the Luster-Tech and applied it. I wiped it after a minute and the table looked like new!
As I told Barbara this story I asked if she would like a couple of squirts of Luster-Tech on the top. She said yes and we applied the Luster-Tech. Lo and Behold, the Luster-Tech took the wax out of her top! She did have the residual petroleum based delivery system circle on her top but either regular detergent or rubbing it with Dawn dish detergent before washing will take that out. INSIGHT:  I told you to use the microfiber cloth for dusting and also to polish the glass and mirrors for a lint free shine. Did you know that these also hold up to 7 times their weight in water? I can think of all kinds of applications for that, can’t you??

Tip: I have talked about how great glass shower doors look after applying Home-Tech. Clean up for the next six months can be achieved with a damp microfiber cloth. I am negating my own sales by saying this but if you use a squeegee after your show to remove moisture on the glass doors you will not even have to touch up the doors with the damp microfiber cloth! I do not have a water softener. I have applied Home-Tech two months ago on the doors. I use a squeegee on the doors after showering primarily because I wanted to eliminate moisture in the air. I dry and style my hair after showering so I didn’t want moisture adversely affecting my hair.

Insights: I lit a candle in the family room one evening as I was starting to watch a movie. The candle was large and sat on a glass plate made specifically for holding candles. I was engrossed in the movie when finally the “drip, drip” sound registered in my brain. The candle had melted to the point where it flooded the glass plate and overflowed onto the wood table. I thought for sure that the hot wax would have ruined the surface and getting all the wax off would perhaps further ruin it. I waited for the wax to dry and lifted what I could. The table finish looked dull in the area where the wax had flowed. I got a bottle of Luster-Tech out and a soft cloth. I sprayed the area with the Luster-Tech, waited a minute and then wiped the table. Not only was the entire wax residue gone the table was shiny and no one will ever be able to detect where the wax had been!

Tip: Use Home-Tech on your sinks both the bowl and the flat surface. You will want to sanitize the sinks regularly but the Home-Tech lasts a good amount of time before having to apply it again. Meanwhile the “crud” just “slithers” off the sink surface!

Insight: To prevent the sun’s harmful rays from reaching you as you drive use Car-Tech on the inside and outside of your car windows. If you have tinted car windows use Car-Tech on the side that isn’t treated. Car-Tech provides 95% UV protection for your painted car surface and will protect you from the sun too if applied to car windows.

Insight: Tar removal is a snap on painted car surfaces. It dissolves quickly with ease when Car-Tech is applied. The next splash of tar will not stick well since the Car-Tech will protect your car for a year under normal conditions.

INSIGHT:  My cousin ordered a new bedroom set. She was pleased with the set when it was delivered until she removed a large label from the mirror. The goo lifted instantly and the mirror is perfect and will stay that way for six months with just an occasional swipe from a damp microfiber cloth. This is a true story! Home-Tech has a petroleum derivative base and micro particles to clean that took the residue off.

TIP:  My metal mailbox kept getting pelted with bird droppings from the tree that hangs over it. It is such a pain to drag the hose all the way to the curb, get soap and a brush just because a bird had to do what birds do naturally. I brought my spray bottle of Dry-Tech outside to the mailbox and in two minutes the mailbox was free of debris, had a nice sheen and the paper towel I used to clean it was in the garbage. To be really green about it use Dry-Tech on a cloth instead of a paper towel and throw the cloth in the wash to reuse it.

The term “cleaning product” conjures up a mental picture of a foul smelling substance. That does not happen with any of our products. Greetings from my hammock! I am enjoying a relaxing time but my home and car are clean and sparkling. I have used the products that I sell and their long-lasting results allow me more leisure time in my hammock! I want you to have time to spend whatever way you wish too. Use the Clean-Tech products and watch as your home and car sparkle and free time is something you can count on.

Tip: Microfiber cloths are great for your needs like dusting, polishing with the Clean-Tech products, and absorbing fluids. They can be used when cleaning your home, auto or even used in industrial applications. They will not leave lint. They do, however, require just a bit of care. When washing them please do not wash them with fabrics that shed. They can be washed separately or with loads like jeans that don’t shed lint. Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets or balls. The cloths must not have any residue from these items or they will not perform at their best. A slightly damp microfiber cloth wipes any spots off of surfaces you have previously cleaned with Clean-Tech products. How easy is that?!

Please note that the microfiber cloths with the little raised tufts of fabric work better at polishing after an application with Clean-Tech products. There are microfiber cloths that have a very smooth surface. They will work but you will work harder to do the polishing and removal of dried excess product. The microfiber cloths that Best Home Cleaning Products sells will work well.

Insight: When cooking in a vessel for a long slow cooking time sometimes the vessel has stuck on residue after the food has been removed from the pot. To remove this stuck on residue of food just place some baking soda and water in the pot and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat and let sit for 20 minutes. When you empty the pot the stuck on residue will float right off.

Tip: Removing the hard water rings from toilets can be a messy job. Home-Tech can help. First shut the water off from the valve behind the toilet. Flush the toilet. Wipe the surface free of excess water. Apply Home-Tech to the ring using a wet nylon scrubbie in a circular motion. Let dry a minute or two to a haze. Wipe away with a microfiber cloth. Very stubborn rings might take two applications. Don’t forget to turn the valve to let the water enter the bowl again!
